THE VESSEL
SV Enola
SV Enola is a robust, safe, fast and long-distance capable 21-meter expedition sailing yacht. Her aluminum hull was manufactured in England by C & S Yacht Designs out of Southampton, and fitted out in southern France from 1998 on. She was launched in the Mediterranean in 2001.
She is generously designed, both below and on deck, and extensively equipped for the comfort and safety of our members and crew.
Great emphasis was placed on a bright and spacious salon, as well as a galley that truly deserves its name.
Each of the four Members Crew aft double cabins comes with its own “head” complete with sink, shower and vacuum toilet.
On deck, two cockpits allow for both engaged sailing and relaxed gatherings.
The leisure cockpit is fitted with a gas grill, which allows us to safely grill the catch of the day.
SV Enola before & after completed refits
SV Enola was acquired by The Grand 8 Sailors Circle at the end of 2024. Since January 2025, the yacht is undergoing a thorough refit. This includes replacing, among other things, both the standing and running rigging, overhauling the electrical and electronic systems, and redesigning the interior to meet the future requirements of an expedition yacht. All safety equipment will have been inspected, serviced or replaced. A second refit is planned and due to take place during the winter of 2027/28 to adapt the vessel for the Enola Grand 8 Expedition which will see her circumnavigate the Americas through the Northwest passage and down to the Antarctic peninsula.
